# Class Description

Show classes for:
Under One's

A one-semester introduction to Music Together®, the music activities and materials are specially designed for parents who want to learn as much as possible about music development in babies. Meet other parents of newborns and learn some fascinating music activities you can recreate at home with your baby.

Mixed Ages

This is the essential Music Together class, one that a child can attend from birth through age five. Following the recommendations of child development researchers, children of a variety of ages are grouped together in one class. This approach fosters natural, family-style learning where younger children enjoy watching and imitating older ones; older children learn by leading younger ones; and adults are happy because the children in the family can go to class together.

Each child participates at his or her own developmental level in singing, moving, chanting, listening, observing, or exploring musical instruments. We welcome the whole family to join in this important family music experience, and any caregiver—parents, grandparents, nanny—can bring the child(ren) to class.

Canta y Baila Conmigo®

Join Music and Me LLC as we go on a musical journey exploring the Spanish language and its cultures. The Canta y Baila Conmigo® curriculum focuses on music education and language immersion. This program is ideal for native Spanish speakers as well as beginners and allows children to experience musical learning and language in a fun and engaging environment. Canta y Baila Conmigo® classes are conducted entirely in Spanish by certified and trained teacher/musicians. Folk classics, familiar children's songs, and new adaptations of traditional songs and rhymes are new each semester. Families receive a CD and a songbook containing Spanish lyrics, sheet music, cultural notes, and an English language supplement for families learning Spanish.

Prince and Princess Party

Get ready for royal fun with a musical twist! Your tiny prince/princess arrives in costume and ready to show off their outfit on the red carpet. Introductions are followed by lessons in courtley etiquette, dancing, sing-a-long time, crafting and we finish off the day with a tea party.

18 mos-3 year old parties include the accompaniment of a King, Queen or Footman (parent or caregiver).

3-5 year old parties kids can be dropped off. Caregivers may stay if your royal requires.

Open Music Play Infants under 12 months

Come spend a morning singing, dancing and playing with Music & Me. Take a 30 minute music class and play in the open play room before or after.

Pirate Party

Swab the deck and raise the mainsail! It's time for 75 minutes of pirate fun. We'll sing, dance and play-a-long to pirate songs and sea shanties, dig for buried treasure and fish for some delicious cookies provided by Benstock Bakes. Pirates under 3 require an adult to attend. Confident 3-5 year olds can be dropped off while adult pirates enjoy an hour alone.

PJ Party
Put on your PJ's and bring your favorite Teddy Bear to this sweet night time class designed to tire out your kiddo just in time for bed. We'll sing, dance and play our way to slumberland with favorite songs and activities ending, of course, with lullabies and snuggles.
Disney Through the Ages
If you're raising kids in Florida, you're already well versed in the magical worlds Disney creates for our children. Come sing, dance and play to the iconic music Disney's brought us over the last 5 decades. It's sure to bring back memories for you and offer the chance to create new ones with your little ones.
Drop in Music Class

Open Motor Play

We'll set up the studio with tunnels, sensory toys, a crash pad and more so you and your little ones can enjoy some big play that hits all the right notes to support their growing bodies and minds. Play items are curated with your child's physical exploratory needs in mine. Does your little one like to crash into your sofa, lift heavy boxes, throw, squeeze or pull? These normal developmental behaviors can be satisfied with the right toys on hand. Come and explore together!

Open Music Play

Bring your kids and your friends and drop in to the studio for hands-on exploration of your child's favorite instruments and props from music class. Unstructured exploration time allows your little one to max out on their love of the egg shakers, sticks or whatever is their current jam. Stay and play for as long as you like. We'll have the music on and the studio ready for fun!

Mini Keys

This class for children 3-5 years old acts as a bridge between our playful, family-style group music classes and more focused private instrument instruction. Mini keys is designed to keep the play in learning while stepping up the music learning to include identifying notes on the page, where they are on the keyboard, and eventually playing a song all the way through! Focused time at the keyboard will be interspersed with rhythm work on djembe drums and games that playfully teach musical concepts such as phrasing, dynamics, tempo and accents. Mini Keys classes are comprised of only four children, ensuring each child gets plenty of individual attention from the teacher. Classes are 45 minutes long and each session runs for 10 weeks at a time.
